He is also a kart driver coach, administrator and promoter as well as a business manager - specialising in marketing and sales - for Brooks Italia, a footwear firm specifically geared towards runners. Son Nicholas also races in the sport. Sadly Rocca was inadvertently involved in the death of Martyn Raymond's death in the 1980 Brands Hatch 6 Hour race, when his car was hit by a competitor, and both cars careered into Raymond, who was by the side of the track inspecting his recent retired car. Marco now lives in Pisa and also competes in triathlons. After Formula 2, he also competed in some rallying.
