Now runs a driving school, which he has run for years. Also runs a number of non-racing businesses. Often short of funds to advance his career further than he hoped, Carlo was a race winner in Formula 3 but also gained a reputation for being a bit too exciting with some off-track moments. Carlo also raced in the European Touring Car Champiosnhip and won in a BMW with Dieter Quester at Monza in 1983 whilst he also came second in the 1986 Spa 24 Hour raced. After spells in the World Touring Car Championship and GT racing, Carlo retired in 1995.
