Raced in GT's and then in Argentine touring cars for many years, very successfully too, before retiring to become a politician in the same Santa Fe province once governed by Carlos Reutemann. He worked as a local councillor for a few years before stopping. Oscar made a brief return to touring cars in the late 2000''s, but has now retired. Oscar also runs his own cold storage business. Sadly Larrauri suffered tragedy when his son, still a toddler at the time, drowned in 2004. Larrauri - often known as Poppy - won numerous titles including the 1983 European Formula 3 series, the 1985 Renault European Cup and four South American touring car crowns.
