Decent driver who won the Argentine F4 championship in 1972, and then the Argentina F2 championship a year later. Despite backing by Fangio, Jarque never really made it in Europe and his best results were in his homeland, in motorbikes, which he started at the tender age of 14, and also in touring cars, in which he raced in for some while. Died after a long illness. Jarque started racing cars in 1970, continuing to compete in motorcycling for some while into the 1970's. Carlos finished racing in the mid 1990's and remained linked to the sport as he was president of the El Tropezon circuit's sporting commission.
