Better known as an engine builder for race cars, he lives and works in Pennsylvania, where he used to run Quadratec, but has now passed the company onto his son. Ted is also a regular historic racer, often appearing in a Formula 5000 car. Wentz won the Wella Formula Ford Series in 1973, winning a March car that enabled him to race in Formula Atlantic, much to his and everyone's else surprise. That said, Wentz won in Formula Atlantic as well. He initially read philosophy at the University of Pennsylvania before turning to racing with an old Jaguar XK120 in 1971. Quadratec are a company based in West Chester, Pennsylvania and it is a Jeep, SUV and truck parts and products supplier.
