Meticulous driver, who came over to the UK to race for a while, and during his career raced in sportscars, and then in Formula 3. His strength as a driver was in testing and development. His career didn't progress much further due to lack of money only, as he had the talent, but he still keeps links with the sport via historic festivals. After racing, he settled in the South West of England where he restored old country houses. He currently lives in Dorset. Pike was particularly impressive in the Titan Mk 3, winning numerous races in 1968. Although born in Pittsburgh, Pike was based in San Francisco, California, for much of his early life.
