Younger brother of F1 driver Pierluigi. However, whilst his brother had about thirty years racing experience, Oliver hardly raced bar a few kart challenges after Formula 3000. In 2006, though, he made a surprise comeback, in the CSAI F3000 Championship and remained there in 2007, but those two years were just a brief return. Martini, who started his career in 1991, retired at the end of that year and Oliver then worked as a driver preparation consultant. Martini is now a sales manager at Valle Ca' Zuliani Societa Agricola, which is a sustainable fish hatchery and breeding facility. Although his uncle Giancarlo and his elder brother enjoyed more successful careers, Oliver was no slouch himself - he was 1997 Italian Formula 3 Champion and also won races in Italian Formula 3000.
