Still well and now works in the family watch and jewellery business. Bonanno did relatively well in Italian Formula 3, and started well in Formula 3000 before suffering serious leg injuries at a crash in Jerez. His F3000 career wasn't quite the same since and shortly after testing a Benetton F1 car, arranged by family friend Flavio Briatore, and having a brief touring car spell, he retired.
