Notes on the cars:

  1. March 713M [1] (Heinz Lange): New to Eifelland Wohnwagenbau for Hannelore Werner to race in German and European F3 in 1971. To Heinz Lange for 1972 but sold early in the season to Scuderia Italia and raced by Piergiovanni Tenani, Clois Avigni and "Shangri-Là" (Romano Martini) in Italian F3 that year. Sold to Livio Franzoso for 1973 and continued to be raced by him in Italian F3 until the end of 1975. Franzoso entered the car as a 733 so it may well be one of the unidentified 733s raced in Italy after that date. History then unknown until Marcel Biehl (Mönchengladbach, Germany) posted pictures of the unrestored car on Facebook in November 2013. Immaculately restored and raced by Biehl in 2015.
  2. Chevron B17 [17.70.09] (Carlo Scarambone): New to Carlo Scarambone (Italy) and raced in Italian F3 in 1971, initially with a Novamotor Ford twin cam and later using an Alfa Romeo engine. Retained for 1972 but Scarambone was rarely able to qualify for race finals that season. Subsequent history unknown.
  3. Brabham BT28 [22] (Luigi Battistello): Delivered to Australian Colin Crang in September 1969 for use in British F3 but not actually raced until a libre race at Brands Hatch in early December. Wrecked in testing at some point in late November. Sold to Luigi Battistello for Italian F3 in 1970, Retained by Battistello for 1971, initially with a Ford twin cam and then with an Alfa Romeo engine later in the season. Run again by Battistello in Italian F3 in 1972.
  4. Chevron B15 [F3-69-14] (Adolfo Corazza): A third Chevron B15 sold via Oliver Speight to Jolly Club in Italy and raced in 1969 by Giuseppe Mariella. It is not known how Jolly Club's three B15s were used in 1969 but the first time they definitely had three cars was at Enna on 3 August. Raced by Sandro Cinotti in 1970, again for Jolly Club. Retained by Cinotti for 1971 and fitted with a 1600cc Wainer Alfa Romeo engine for the new F3. To Adolfo Corazza mid-1971 and retained for 1972. Subsequent history unknown.
  5. March 713M [7?] (Dietmar Flöer): New to Jim Gleave's MRE (Bourne End, Buckinghamshire) according to March records but MRE do not run a 713M in 1971. Believed to be the car raced by Dietmar Flöer in European F3 in 1971. Retained for 1972 and for 1973, and reppeared again as late as 1975. Likely to be the "712M" that Flöer raced in a German national F2 race in August 1975 and quite possibly the "713S" that he entered for a race at Monza in 1977. Subsequent history unknown.
