The doctorate comes from a degree in dentistry and Jack works as a dentist in Indianapolis when not involved in motor racing, and has done a lot of talks and promotion about good dental health. Has raced little after a big IRL crash in 2001, however. Also works in motor racing marketing and sponsorship and in 2016 formed a team with a number of other people, including former Indy 500 graduate Scott Goodyear, to race in SCCA junior formulae single-seater events. Miller won the 1993 Indy Lights B Series Championship and is also a qualified pilot.
