An excellent dirt track racer who took a number of wins in the discipline, Sweigart, sometimes spelt Sweigert, largely raced in the Midwest, and mostly in his home state of Indiana. His 1929 effort was pretty much his only effort at non-dirt track racing. Frank was also an aeroplane stuntman! Raced for a good 5 year spell, from the mid 1920's onwards. Sweigart was of Belgian ancestry, and also resided in Indianapolis, before moving to Arizona later in life.
