Ran a hugely successful snowmobile, ATV and motorized tricycle company for over 10 years, before becoming an air-racer. He was still competing in P51 Mustangs in the mid 1990's. Although he retired from day-to-day work, Mickey remained linked to Rupp Marine, a company he founded, which produce sport fishing hardware, until his death. He also remained linked to the sport as he still attended events and even took part at a kart event in 2010, aged 74! Rupp, whose first name was actually Herbert, was competent in USAC events, finishing 5th at Milwaukee in 1965.
