Last raced back in the 1980's. Now involved in Japanese motorsport management and administration and lives in Tokyo. Takahara was the 1974 and 1976 Japanese Formula 2000 Champion (similiar to Formula 2) and originally took up racing in 1969. A regular in sportscars as well, he didn't just confine his racing to his home nation either, competing in some races in Europe in 1973 and 1974. Noritake left single-seater racing in 1979, before continuing in sportscars for another seven years before calling it a day.
