Recently returned to Japan, after 11 years as boss of TOM's (Racing Technology Norfolk) British Formula 3 team. He took on a similar role with another Formula 3 team in Japan with one of Toyota's feeder teams, but then went to take charge of Dome's road and racing cars programme, including specifically, their sportscar challenge. Now retired, and keeps many links with the sport in both Japan and the UK. As a driver, he was test-driver for Maki who then attempted to qualify their car. Fushida was actually from a different background family-wise, as his father was one of Japan's most successful kimono manufacturers but took up racing as a teenager, sticking with it every since.
