An ex-drummer for Swedish bands Made in Sweden and Solar Plexus, Slim was also a sometime session drummer for his friend, ABBA founder Bjorn Ulvaeus. After Formula 1, Slim went on to drive trucks and touring cars in his homeland and won the European Championship in FIA Truck Racing in 1995. Real name is actually Karl Edvard Tommy Borgudd. Sadly, in 2022, Slim was diagnosed with Alzheimer's Disease after a short spell of other health issues. In 2023, after a rapid downturn in health from illness, he passed away. He had already retired from racing, after a spell of living and working in Warwickshire as managing director of Radical UK Sportscars' international distribution division and he also ran his Slim Racing team for some years. Born on the island of Oland, in the Baltic, Borgudd had a mixed career but was 1979 Swedish F3 Champion and 1994 Swedish & Nordic touring car champion.
