Sadly died in 2016. Formed a successful drivers school in America and also designed and built a successful training racing car for use at the school. Bertil has spent most of his life in the US, as he moved there to race in Formula Super Vee. He won the title in that discipline in 1973, and also raced in Formula Atlantic, and then in the 1980's in Can-Am. Bertil started racing in his homeland in the late 1960's and started to race in both Europe and the US from around 1972 onwards. From the mid-1990's, he no longer had direct involvement with his school but he kept in touch and acted as its president until his death, at Pocono Medical Center, after a long illness.
