Touring Car and GT champion, he ran numerous teams after previously being in sole charge of the Carsport Holland/America concern. Sons Mike and Loris also became racing drivers. Hezemans won the European Touring Car Championship (twice in fact, in 1970 and 1973), the Targa Florio, Daytona, the Spa 24 Hours, and had 2 Le Mans class wins during his successful career. Hezemans is also involved in driver academies and also races in historic events but his main work is buying and renovating properties in Brussels. He also has a garage of classic cars. He became involved in team management again in 2022 with noth a NASCAR and a NASCAR Euroseries team.
