Popular, positive man, who, until the sad onset of Parkinson's Disease, raced in the occasional historic race. Also worked in public relations, but Jacques was still mostly involved in the media industry, doing live comments for the French national TV station. He had to give this up after nearly 20 years of commentating. After sustaining grave injuries in the British Grand Prix of 1986, Jacques eventually returned to racing, appearing in touring cars in Germany, France, Italy and Europe before moving into sportscars. Jacques also appeared in the Porsche Supercup, GP Masters and French GT's in the last 20 years. Away from the sport, he has business interests in golf and fishing.
