Despite a lot of promise shown in Formula 3000 (becoming 1994 Champion), his Grand Prix spell at Sauber was not as happy. After an unsuccessful spell in British Touring Cars, he moved to sportscars, where he achieved far better results - he won the LMS LMP1 Championship in 2005 and 2006. Raced frequently until 2012 - when he suffered slight injuries in a crash at Le Mans - and this, amongst other things happening personally around that time, led to Boullion stopping racing that year. He now runs his real estate business in Neauphle-le-Chateau.
