Reasonable in lower formulae, in which he made a rapid rise, and sportscars, his Formula 3000 attempts were poor, bar a third place in his last race at that level. The highlight in Didier's career was very definitely winning the prestigious Monaco Formula 3 race in 1987, especially for the way he continually held of Jean Alesi to win. Artzet now lives in Noumea, New Caledonia, where he is a kart dealer for CRC, and also works in real estate.
