Has worked in public relations and television - as a commentator - for a while and also acted as an assistant to the mayor at Le Cannet, where he is still heavily involved in local community projects. A gymnasium was named after him in Le Cannet in 2020 as a tribute to his work locally. Patrick used to compete in special events, including the Grand Prix Masters in 2006, but now sadly has Parkinson's Disease as well as suffering from diabetes, so he no longer drives racing cars and has scaled back his public appearances. Tambay previously ran a sports management company and was also involved, albeit briefly, in the ownership of the Larrousse team. Patrick is a very popular, ebullient man and whilst at the Grand Prix Masters did an interview for OldRacingCars.com - which can be found here - https://www.oldracingcars.com/drivers/interview/Patrick-Tambay/
