Osny

Nationality:

France

F2 starts:

4 (1967-1969)

Eric started off in motorcycles, doing very well, including beating Jean-Pierre Beltoise. Both Beltoise and Eric moved to cars, Eric with less success ultimately, but F3 went well and he formed a long time collaboration with Ron Harris' racing team. His loyalty to Harris meant a possible F1 break never happened, and in 1969, his hopes took a further knock when he suffered a terrible season with Pygmy. This led to him going back to motorcycles, where he began constructing, developing and designing his own monocoques and frames, and still runs his own business devoted to this as well as being a technical consultant to many motorcycling teams. Still very much linked to the historic side of both sports and is a very popular man.
