Much better known as a team principal, who ran his Racing Organisation Course (ROC) team for decades, and formed it shortly after his F2 driving spell, but also designed and worked on engines. The ROC team competed in hillclimbs, F2, touring cars, the WRC and a whole host of other events, but it was sportscars that he and the team are most identified with. Fred also had a long association with Audi. Fred was the Chevron cars agent in France. Kept links with the sport until his death in 2024.
