Born:

12 Apr 1917
Marseille

Died:

19 Jan 2015
Cassis, Bouches-du-Rhone

Nationality:

France

Grands Prix:

28 (1950-1956)

Sadly died, at nearly 98 years of age. Manzon was the last surviving driver from the very first Grand Prix season in 1950. Later operated his own diesel equipment distribution business for years. He continued to visit historic events until a year or two before his death and even drove a few laps at some of them despite being in his 90's. Manzon was a very capable driver indeed, with a number of non-championship wins and a few podiums in Grand Prix's, despite not being in top-line machinery.
