Finland

Was involved in Finnish motor sport, mostly in administration and ran his own company specialising in industrial inventions. He died, in 2017, after a long illness, which left him wheelchair bound, frail and in general poor health which he endured after a huge stroke in the mid 2000's. That notwithstanding, he still appeared at historic events when aided by his friends, kept in touch with the sport and was a great supporter of Valtteri Bottas. Leo was an excellent sportscar driver and enjoyed some of his best success in tandem with Pedro Rodriguez, including winning Porsche the 1970 World Sportscar Championship. The last man to wear an open-faced helmet in Grand Prix racing, he also was behind a short-lived and somewhat disastrous team entry in 1974. Leo also raced on ice and was a frequent rally driver too, but also raced motorcycles.
