Sadly died recently after a battle against ill-health. He lived - and died - in Monaco, where he ran Monaco Fine Arts, a motor racing arts and portrait business. Later also worked as a race instructor. He had a lot of success in Formula Libre, and his grandson, Melville later raced in Formula Renault. Mike kept links with the sport not only through his family but every year when the Monaco Grand Prix occured. McKee worked in a car dealership in Norfolk when the chance to go racing came about and Mike very quickly enjoyed success at the local Snetterton race circuit. Mike was very adept in sportscars, retiring from driving in 1961, later moving to Monte Carlo fifteen years later.
