Regular competitor in Formula Atlantic and British Formula 3 who had a brief spell in Formula 2. Based in Essex, he later ran a garage dealership. Williams was a regular in British Formula Atlantic in 1974 and 1975, running his own team in the championship, which he also did for his Formula 2 effort, running his own Chevron B29 car. He made a surprise return to the tracks in 2015 with some historic racing.
