Bailey was a garage owner who raced in an array of different series, including Formula Atlantic (and the Indylantic series), Formula 2 and the Shellsport International Series, often entering his own car, which was more often than not, a Chevron. Ken still retained an interest in the sport despite suffering from dementia. Ken's son David also went on to race, specialising in club events. Ken passed away on New Year's Day 2026 after a long fight with dementia.
