Also raced in Formula 3 and Formula Atlantic. Real name has often been listed as Richard Dickinson-Barker but it was in fact George Richard Barker. Barker was almost always seen in a Brabham, whether it was a BT28 for his Formula 2 and Formula 3 efforts, or a BT29 in Formula Atlantic. However Barker did appear in an Alexis Mk 17 in Formula 3 in 1969 and also raced for the marque in 1975. Barker survived a fiery crash that made news headlines for its ferocity in 1972 at Crystal Palace. Barker also competed in Formula Ford 1600 and worked for his father as a timber merchant, and used his timber lorry to transport his cars to race circuits as well! Barker was in poor health in the mid-to-late 2000's and died in 2012 near his home in Llithfaen. His ashes were scattered at Mallory Park Racing Circuit in early 2013.
