Formula 3 driver who moved up to Formula 2, more often than not, preparing and racing his own cars. Craven raced in the 1964 British Formula 3 series, in either his own Lotus 31 or a Lotus 22. In 1965, he won at Croft in the BRSCC Formula 3 series. Craven also owned his own Brabham BT21B and a Chevron B17B car, which is the one he attempted his Formula 2 foray with. Craven died in 2019 from dementia. He formerly ran a motorcycle dealership in Dewsbury.
