Bruno started his motor sport career with Peugeot, working on both engines and gearboxes for their race cars, after initially working with their road cars. Famin became Peugeot technical director in 2005, before becoming a director of the company in 2012. In his stewardship, the marque won Pikes Peak, Le Mans and 3 Dakar Rallies. In 2019, he became the FIA's Director of Operations before joining Alpine/Renault as their powertrain head. He then took over as the team principal of the Alpine operation for a while, trying to hold together the team in a difficult period for them. Before his involvement in cars, Bruno was based in Nigeria for two years as a transport and logistics co-ordinator for SCAC Transport. Famin remained involved with the Alpine Group in other roles but was replaced in 2026 from his role as a hybrid car manager. A few days later he became deputy competition director of the Automobile Club de l'Ouest (ACO).
