Since leaving Formula 3000, Dominik had a successful career in Japan, in Formula Nippon and Japanese GT's. Schwager then split his time between Japan and Europe, and after a period in ALMS, appeared in a range of endurance series, including GT Masters and more recently, the VLN Series. In 2015, Dominik appeared in the Blancpain Endurance Series and then in 2016, moved to the ADAC GT Masters series. In 2018, he was in various endurance events with Blancpain as his main drive. In 2021, he moved to the Michelin Le Mans Cup. Schwager, prior to Formula 3000, was a winner in karts and German Formula 3 and was a member of the Benetton Formula 1 junior squad.
