Still alive, living in Oregon. Recently retired from his midget chassis building and now largely spends his time restoring vintage cars and building scale model cars. Edmunds started his career in 1948 under an alias, but it was his car building skills that he became most famous for. He worked as a mechanic in Ed Kuzma's design shop and then built cars which were then raced by the likes of Tom Bigelow and Lee Kunzman. Overall, in just over 15 years, his AutoResearch shop in Anaheim built over 700 cars, including midgets, sprint and Indy cars, as well as numerous Formula Vee cars.
