Part of the Georgian Royal Family, who was born in Italy due to the family being expelled from Georgia after the Tsarist Revolution. Jorge's mother died shortly after his birth and moved to Spain, hence de Bagration becoming a Spanish citizen. Initially started racing in hillclimbs and motorcycling before moving into single seaters, but he was best known for touring cars. Entered for, but for sponsorship reasons, never made, the 1974 Spanish Grand Prix. Later became a PR manager for Fiat. Died of hepatitis.
