Sprint and dirt-car specialist who raced in dirt cars, mainly, for just under ten years, but had a lucky escape in 1935, after surviving, albeit without injury, a huge crash at Arden Downs racetrack, when he lost control and careered through a fence, totally destroying the car. Largely raced in his home state.
