One time husband of Jill St. John and step-son of Cary Grant, Lance, heir to the Woolworth fortune, died in a plane accident. Reventlow was the son of Barbara Hutton, the Woolworth's heir, whereas his father was of Danish nobility, but also had German and Polish ancestry. Lance's full name was actually Lawrence Graf von Haugwitz-Hardenberg-Reventlow. Lance's childhood years were very troubled due to his mother's drug and alcohol dependencies and her numerous husbands. It was husband number four, Prince Troubetzkoy who got Lance interested in racing through his own driving attempts. Lance also ran a manufacturing company in California.
