Riding mechanic and road racer who often drove for Amplex. Later worked for Chevrolet as a mechanic and auto trimmer. Jones previously raced as a motorcycle racer before switching to cars. A regular road racer in the early 1910's, Jones competed at the Long Island road race in 1910. After a few years away, Jones returned to racing in 1915 before seemingly stopping for good. Often listed as from New York, but Jones was based in Pennsylvania. Died of thyroid cancer.
