Raced in the Renault Clio Eurocup, winning the championship in 2000 and 2001. Now works for the CIGS as an instructor, and runs a couple of teams now. Luca himself races in a variety of events, including the Italian Touring Car Championship, Porsche Carrera Cup and, in 2014, with his team, in the Ginetta G50 Cup. He still runs a team, but in 2017, he was also racing in the Italian GT series and in endurance events in his homeland. In 2018, he is in the Italian Mini Challenge; in 2019 and 2020, TCR Italy. In 2021, he is in the BMW M2 CS Cup. After performing extensive testing work for Fiat, he is back in TCR Italy in 2022.
