Holds the record for most GP's without points, which was increased after a very unhappy spell as a stand-in for Felipe Massa in 2009, a return to Formula 1 after 10 years. He was Ferrari F1's long-standing test and development driver until 2010, a role which, to his great credit, has made him one of the most influential drivers of the 2000's in Formula 1. He is now completely retired from racing, but aside from staying linked with the Ferrari/FIAT group as an ambassador for the business, with occasional public relations roles, his son is racing and Luca supports him and concentrates on his family.
