Raced in touring cars, and other events for a while. Now retired, and works as a racing instructor. Paglicci was a successful karter who came third in the World Formula C championship in 1990. He jumped straight up to Italian Formula 3 in 1991, with the Forti team, and considering the variation of machinery, did quite reasonably, but it was only in 1994 that his career developed, when he won three races and came fifth in a strong Italian Formula 3 series, which was won that year by Giancarlo Fisichella. Gianluca was a race winner again in 1995 but thereafter his career stalled and he never got a proper Formula 3000 drive.
