Probably at his best in Formula 2, he also raced in sportscars, before finishing his career in 1973. In conjuction with his racing career, Peter, who graduated as a mechanical engineer, ran his engineering firm, Felday Engineering, where he ran and built racing cars. Peter was based in Tobago for much of the year, after he and his wife Jenny landed on the island when sailing there in 1994. They returned for holidays each year and then moved there in 2001, where they eventually bought four properties - one for living and three for rental or holiday homes. Peter died after a long illness.
