Car and garage owner, who had a brief try in the sport, including sportscars as well as Formula 2, all of which he competed in his Lotus Climax. Having enjoyed some success in both disciplines with wins at Roskilde and Copenhagen in sportscars and two 5th place finishes against more experienced racers in Formula 2, Niven stopped at the end of 1960. Marcus, who died in 2017, was the son of a civil engineer. Marcus died in a Wiltshire care home the first few days of 2017 from dementia and diabetes.
