Best described as an ambassador for the sport, a living legend, knighted in 2000. In 2018, after being in poor health since 2016, Moss decided to finally retire from public life, having been a staunch regular at pretty much every major historic event, although he retired from racing in them in 2011. This busy schedule was despite both a fight against prostate cancer, as well as somehow surviving a 3 floor fall from an open lift shaft in 2010. Lives in the centre of London and amongst his non-racing activities have been a TV narrating role in a children's TV series, Rory the Racing Car and he was a broadcaster for nearly 20 years for ABC's Wide World of Sports.
