Founder of the Toj racing team, who did reasonably for a while in Formula 3. He was also the German distributor for the GRD/Modus racing cars, as well as being a constructor. Made his fortune by supplying electrical industrial equipment. Also raced in sportscars, but in more recent years, he visited historic events and also liked to produce scale models of his cars. Died in 2020 after complications of diabetes. As a driver, Jorg is best remembered as a touring car driver, coming second in the DRM series in 1974, but he was also a long-time competitor in the Interserie series, and came second in that series in 1977. Obermoser stopped racing a few years later so he could concentrate on both business and team interests.
