A qualified architect, who holds a doctorate in the profession. Started - on four wheels - in hillclimbs, before making a long and pretty reasonable attempt at Formula 3. Lamby remains an architectural consultant, and he has worked in Germany and Eastern Europe. He currently lives in Unterschleissheim. Lamby also raced in sportscars, relatively briefly, during the 1960's, racing a BMW Spezial in GT events. Lamby started his racing career, however, in motorcycles, racing a MV Augusta in events from 1962 onwards.
