Now lives in Florida, involved with Porsche, mainly as a consultant. Vic also ran a driving school and has brought out his third book on driving, combined with his role as performance driving instructor, which he has now retired from. Elford was one of the most versatile drivers of his generation with a string of rally, touring car, sports car and single-seater wins between his debut in 1960 and his last really competitive race in 1984. Elford was also a team manager between 1977 and 1980, including for ATS and Audi. Elford is a regular after-dinner speaker, visits historics and keeps many motorsport links.
