Ran his own car, a March 742-BMW, in Formula 2, but it was not a success, failing to qualify for both the Rouen and Eifelrennen events. Remi also appeared briefly in touring cars. Now runs a renewable energy company and financial business, with bases in both Chenove and Longuenesse. Gillis also had a brief rallying career, appearing in the Tour de France rally in a Ford Capri in 1971. After his Formula 2 career ended, Remi retired to concentrate on his business interests.
