Moved to Indy Pro for two years then in stock cars in his native Brazil. Now out of the sport and runs a baby hygiene business in his hometown. Paese raced in Europe, the US and South America during his career. In 1994, he competed in the Formula Opel Lotus Nations Cup, before returning to his homeland to compete in both Brazilian Formula Chevrolet (in which he finished third) and the Campeonato Sudamericano de Formula 3. In the latter in 1996, he finished third in that series, and was a race winner, which propelled him into a short career in International Formula 3000. His Indy Pro time was probably, unfortunately for him, best remembered for a fight with Oriol Servia.
