Went back to the US and CART after F1, but was badly injured in a testing crash at Elkhart Lake in 2006. His recovery was slow but he is back racing - he did some kart events in 2007, and was in Grand-Am in 2008 and 2009. Raced trucks in Brazil in 2010, but went back in the US in 2011 and ALMS. Since then, he's not driven.
