Still alive, living in Clearwater, British Columbia. Crombie drove in USAC and Canadian supermodifieds but he also flew planes. He also raced in the CAMRA (Canadian American Modified Racing Association) series for a couple of years. His two year crack at USAC events, including the Indianapolis 500 was by and large, not a great success and he ended his racing career shortly afterwards. Ed now owns a large transportation and trucking company in Clearwater.
